President Bush's general impressions of the condition of the country leave much to be desired. He clames that we are fine and are heading in the correct direction for recovery. He says that we will get a huge tax cut that is suposed to help the economy. From what a few people say stating their opionions ("experts") they say that this will mostlikly hurt the economy and so will the war on Iraq, if it happens. Bush also states that he is funding a hydrogen fueled automobile, now this is a superb idea and should not be abandoned. Bush says that the country will pull out and survive. The greatest concern for the Presitents speech is obvious. From a political view-point me must be serious about the war on Iraq. He balanced the issues around the world with the domestic issues pritty well, looked to be about 50-50. The first 30 minutes were on the economy and issues in the nation. The last 30 minutes of his speech were on the internatinal issues, AIDs in Africa, nukes in North Korea, and the 'Axis of Evil.' Many comments by Bush that drew the large responses. When ever he stated that the United States is great he usualy gets a huge response, also when he just says that the U.S. is good he gets a response. Most the the responsed though came from the republican side and the the democrates and ofcourse the military did not clap or stand unless it was about them kicking ass. When he said we are responding to terrorist threats was a huge response. The comments the would draw the most voters for his cause are there. The comments about how the enviroment will be better with that healthy tree act (not sure if thats right), and the hydrogen cars. Also how we are spending so much money on forien aid, as in africa getting money for the aids. Plus how we are in a war that we are 'winning.' The comments that the presedent that could be considered the most conerversiol are few in number. Well there could be a lot if a person could twist his words and also know the correct meaning of what he says. How could trees be healther if there are less of the? Pluss I dont like how he made is in every ones buissness. Yes, there is an aspect of the president's speaking style thats effective. He is more light hearted when he talks about us and how we are coping with the economy. But, when he got into terrorism and the 'Axis of Evil' he got to a more serious tone. There are many examples on how the president uses the people. When he would talk about how he would help the elderly, they would show a few old people in the auduience. When he spoke about the drug addiction the camera spun around like a mad man on some new hybrid drug that causes Wakky Tobbakky to be the past. When they talked about how the military will straten out Saddam Hussen it shows the military people.
